I am currently filling out my application for bedfordshire police and have finished section 1. I have so far done it all in capitals, however after reading several posts it seems people also fill the form out in lower case.
I am after a bit of reassurance to continue filling the form in, shall I continue with capitals or do I switch to lower case for the competency questions? |

Hi there,
I was thinking the same when I filled in mine for the Met and it does say somewhere not to complete it in capitals. They use the paper sift to assess grammar, punctuation etc, so you will need to use normal handwriting.
If I was you I would just contact the force direct to make sure. You will probably think it's a stupid question but I bet a lot of people are thinking the same.
Good Luck,
Gemma. |

I was worried about this as well. For years I have worked on computers and any handwritten form filling has always been done in capitals. I tried writing in lower case and to be honest it looked really untidy. On balance I decided that I would rather be neat and uppercase than lower case and a bit scruffy.
I submitted my form a couple of weeks ago and heard this week that I had passed the paper sift and have my assessment centre appointment for the end of March. |
